Canned tomatoes can be just as healthy as fresh tomatoes, as they are typically picked and canned at the peak of ripeness, preserving their nutritional content. In fact, the canning process can actually increase the bioavailability of certain nutrients, such as lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant. However, it's important to check the label for added salt or sugar in canned tomatoes, as these can detract from their health benefits. Ultimately, both canned and fresh tomatoes can be part of a healthy diet, and the choice between the two may come down to personal preference and convenience. **

It is generally not recommended to remove many leaves from tomato plants. Leaves are essential for photosynthesis, which is the process by which plants produce energy. Removing too many leaves can reduce the plant's ability to produce energy and may result in stunted growth and reduced fruit production. However, it is beneficial to remove some lower leaves to improve air circulation and reduce the risk of disease. It is important to strike a balance and not over-prune the plant. **
